Where the Wilds Are movie review
I agree with the review wrote by Roger Ebert (Oct 14, 2009). In his review he point out right away the meaning of the movie Where the Wilds Are and he says he doesn't feel the characters are lovely instead of some creatures that comes out in nightmares, which is exactly what I felt watching the movie. In fact, the transition is so fast if the teacher didn't explain to the class what is going on and how the scenes are reflecting to the reality, l won''t be able to understand the movie. Roger Ebert also explained the technics that used into the film. He explained the reason why the film let Max serving on a boat instead of changing the room into a jungle like the book is because the world is Max's imagination. A dream will created by sublimation and sublimation often came from what you see in life. Max had a toy boat which explained why he was serving the boat to the island. Roger Ebert point out not just the reasons that the movie is different from the book but he also find out a question that often come out from children:What is right? I think he analyzed the movie very well and not just keep it to himself but say out loud.
